tridimnaw
Hi all, I've recently picked up my old bass after hearing a couple of songs I used to love, but after around 16 years of my bass being in storage I realise I didn't have a clue what I was doing before, I was just chugging root notes and relying on the guitarist to show me everything I was playing. I'm here to get the best understanding of the bass I possibly can, musical tastes have become so much more diverse since my late teens I really appreciate the bass so much more. I'm here to get the fundamentals of theory down, I've got some scales ingrained into my head and am steadily learning where all the notes are on the fretboard. Youtube has been a god send, and having more patients these days is a big help too. I'm using my (rather neglected) 2000/2001 squire affinity bass, through a small Peavey microbass practice amp. I'm currently based in West Wales. Hi all and I'm looking forward to more development (fingers crossed) here
SH73
Hi @tridimnaw and welcome. You are in a good place . This is a friendly forum 99% of time. I too dusted off my bass after around 15 years , but don't worry it will soon come back to you.
