For free - I'd like to give one of the Ibanez headless 4 strings a go. Nothing against Fender, but I have a P Bass and as this would be costing me nothing, I'd want to try something new.

For my sins, I've never owned a really good Precision, so the nicest P I could get my hands on, black/black/maple, job done.

At Fender the only five string basses were jazzes, and ugly colours at that, so pass. (Those showed up when selecting 5 String Basses in the menu. Apparently there are more on the site. This reliability says enough on why to never get anything fender)

Maybe the ibanez SRMS805 (pictured) then.

 

Still I'd rather choose from either Mayones or Maruszczyk!

I found the same thing - it looks like a fault with the site. If you just select the Precision, the five-string I linked to will come up.

I always go back to something Pat Travers said in an interview decades ago - buy the guitar that feels best in your hands. Anything else can be put right with a screwdriver , a soldering iron and a spray gun.
