Yolanda Charles is doing one locally, but I have received Facebook flak for suggesting its a tad overpriced at £35.

Usually they are tied in with a manufacturer and/or retailer, so yes £35 is steep. Even a bit pricey for a gig in my book.

I’d pay £40 for a bass lesson and £20 for a book. If you like what she does, I reckon it’s ok.

It depends what it is. If it's a genuine masterclass, i.e. small numbers, actual teaching, then I think that's more than reasonable. 

 

If it's just a performance, then perhaps a tad steep.
