Ralf1e
The fact that they were too lazy to rub down the sanding sealer so it didn't accept the stain Oh and apparently they burn well 🤣
prowla
Has it been converted to a 24-fret short scale?
TheGreek
You're forgetting that somebody put in the hours to (unnecessarily) move the pick ups.

A quick check with known dimensions reveals that it is still 34" scale length. I am still not convinced that it is good value for £300.

yorks5stringer
So a no-name PJ with extensive and most likely marginal betterment regarding the pickup locations and also cosmetic shortcomings for £300? Nada.

lemmywinks
Those old Magnas are decent basses, really undesirable though so sell for peanuts, £300 for a mint example is living in dreamland let alone for one in this state. I think the neck is a newer 24 fret replacement (older ones had 22 and the bridge/pups were further back on the body) so the pickups and bridge have been moved to compensate. You can see filled in bridge screw holes where the old one was located. So this will be a newer Chinese neck (will have had the large ARIA block logo) on what I'm guessing is an older Korean body. lemmywinks
Puzzling that such work has been done on a bass so cheap to just replace like for like, maybe the owner who had the work done really loved it?
