cd_david Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Anyone else spot these? Seems rather cheap? http://www.moogmusic.com/taurus/?section=p...roduct_id=21299 Dave Quote
Buzz Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 It's $2k though. Which'll pretty much buy you any bass you could need, and commission someone to build one of these for you for probably quite a lot cheaper. Quote
WILD FROG SHOT Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Why is the sound clip soooo rubbish? I'm pretty sure a relatively cheap synth could make the same sound. Am I really not getting the point? Quote

steve-soar Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Nah, I'll leave the keyboard parts to a keyboard player. Quote
nig Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Had a set of taurus 1 in the 80's, I took these bad pics last night on a gig, I use midi pedals and a roland expander, does the same job, saves you 800 quid. Quote
TimR Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009
Had a set of taurus 1 in the 80's, I took these bad pics last night on a gig, I use midi pedals and a roland expander, does the same job, saves you 800 quid.
The Roland PK5 is £370, Dave Smith Mono Synth £280 The question is what will the moog cost in the UK. I assume the usual £=$ conversion that seems to be used for gear. You're really paying for the Classical moog sound and name of course. Quote
nig Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Nice one TimR another valued point well raised, but I guess its the moog analogue kudos ! Quote
