Powering 5v mini usb with 9v

Hi all,

 

I have this on my board, but its 5v mini usb so currently I have to power it separately, which is super annoying. Is there such thing as a 5v to 9v converter, so I can power it off my daisy chain?

I bought a powersupply for my pedalboard that had a usb charger for this exact situation.

I don't think that changes the voltage, so if you're trying to power the USB gadget off 9V then no. @fretmeister's link has some fun looking products but I don't see one to go from 9V to USB there, only the other way round.

Some power supplies (like my excellent Cioks DC7) have a usb built in. For those that don't there's the Rock Stock Bright Switch. I would offer you mine that I don't need any more, but I don't remember where it is...
