fabbabass Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 Interesting, but WOW, expensive! EBay.com, $129k Quote
Geek99 Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 Besides doesn’t Robert Trujillo own it ? Quote
TheGreek Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 Can't see anything on line about it being for sale. Don't expect Trujillo to ever sell it. Quote

Jean-Luc Pickguard Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 The wall of text in times roman capitals has given me a headache but I think my assessment is correct: It never been near Jaco - its a fender jaco signature jazz that has had the neck epoxied by Jaco's bass tech. 4 Quote

You would think that is the case but tbh reading the 'evidence' / paperwork before the seller's cack, there is nothing that proves anybody refinished anything! The typed authentication simply confirms that the neck has the 'original epoxy coating'... it doesn't say it has been refinished by him (whoever he is). Either way it is a couple thousand dollar bass that is being hyped, to fool some mug! Quote
prowla Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 It says... sorry, IT SAYS!!! "THIS IS NOT JACO'S ORIGINAL BASS, AND NOT A FENDER RELIC BASS:" Quote
Doctor J Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 I also have several basses which were never owned by Jaco and also never played by him. Perhaps I make more of that as an ad feature when selling? I'd only add one 0 to the price for this level of exclusivity, however, not two. 3 Quote
PaulThePlug Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 I've got several basses that aren't really played by me!.. 1 1 Quote
NancyJohnson Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 WE CALL IT THE JACO "BASS OF DOOM II" ...because nobody else does. 1 Quote

Or in strict legal terms it's a fender Jaco signature jazz that has NOT had the neck epoxied by Jaco's bass tech Quote
Bunion Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 The two bits that made me chuckle “FYI: KAUFMAN WAS FURIOUS WHEN HE FOUND OUT THEY DID NOT APPLY THE ORIGINAL EPOXY COATING USING THE TIME CONSUMING PROCESS.” “IN MY OPINION IF JACO WAS STILL ALIVE HE WOULD WANT THIS BASS.” well, in that case, I’ll take it! TheGreek Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 Don't forget: THERE IS NO OTHER BASS LIKE IT OUT of THE 100 MADE THANK YOU FOR READING THIS VERY IMPORTANT INFO FOR THIS ONE of A KIND BASS. ( I'm not sure how he can continue to ignore the other 99 which are exactly the same) 1 Quote
fabbabass Posted January 25, 2023 Author Posted January 25, 2023 Ian, knowing the way you go through gear, you may well get it! It’ll be on here in no time😂 I hope you’re doing well. KC 1 Quote
Bunion Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 That’s the problem, I purchase a lot of gear but sell none of it 😯 I do have my always used bits though. the P, the bag ends, the handbox and Noble. occasionally something makes the grade but mostly it goes in the cupboard 😂🤣 Quote
