bassist_lewis Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 The 'Fuzz' knob on my Malekko Diabolik seems to have a short dead spot towards the upper end of its travel. Its Probably only a millimetre or so wide, but at that point the volume drops to almost nothing (just a touch of fuzz coming through) and it clicks as you turn through it. I've unscrewed all the screws on it to try get a look inside and/or clean the pot, but the way it's built the circuit is locked in there even with all the screws taken out. Anyone with more electronic experience than me seen this before? Quote
itu Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 Many times. If you can open the cover, you can try to turn/bend the turning part and clean the track, but the easiest way is to change the pot to a new one. Quote

That was my fear 😭 I can't seem to take the circuit board out, it feels like it might break. Quote
