Cleaned Up, Oiled Up, Waxed Up, Adagio Flats, Quick Set-Up... Son is over the moon... looks n sounds nice. Edited February 7, 2023 by PaulThePlug 10 Quote
iconic Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Lovely looking thing that. Had a few Vintage Brand bits over the years and all been very good. 1 Quote
alyctes Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 (edited) I've got one of these. Nicely built, sounds good. Heavy! Mine's got Fender black-nylon tapes on it. (It has convinced me I don't really like P-J basses, but that's not its fault ) Edited January 28, 2023 by alyctes 1 Quote
SamIAm Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 (edited) Gorgeous! And what a fantastic price Edited January 28, 2023 by Smanth 1 Quote
BreadBin Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Nice - I have one too and it's also bloody heavy! Bubinga is proper dense it seems. They do play nicely, an excellent starter fretless and much nicer than what I started with 🤣 Mine needs some electrical attention as the bridge pickup is very quiet. 1 Quote

Velarian Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 What a great first fretless to have. It looks lovely. Unlined and a reverse P pickup too. 1 Quote
uk_lefty Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 A lad I knew who was a very good bass player and even tried to make a living as a musician for a bit used to play the fretted version. It was very unfashionable because of the brand name but sounded fantastic and had us discussing "why buy a Warwick?" 1 Quote
Machines Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 I bought one of these new for £199 from Dawsons Manchester (probably served by @AndyTravis) in 2005. Unlined was a bad choice for me as a new player but it played well enough. Found a pic: 2 Quote
PaulThePlug Posted January 29, 2023 Author Posted January 29, 2023 Thanks all.. The only real contenders Unlined, 2 Octave and reasonable £ were a Harley Benton BF450 @ £165 or a Gear4Music Jobby @ £130... So I think i did alright! 2 Quote
