My Take on the Mini Fodera 30,75 (now with Build Thread)

Hi guys

just wanted to share something I’ve been working over the last 10 months

This is my first custom built bass, started from zero, by drawing the bass in 3D (after tutorials on YouTube😂), then decided scale length, woods, hardware and electronics

I have my own foderas so I based my draft on a similar shape of the Emperor, the result is a Hybrid monarch/emperor, with right shape to be easily played when sitting on a chair, headless with tuning bridge

details

30,75 scale

5 strings B-G

zero radius fretboard with SS Evo Gold frets

ebony board

mahogany back

neck through hard Italian flamed maple

graphite bars in the neck

Flamed maple top

nordstrand big singles + Mike pope preamp

painted by hand with oil, 10+ layers

here’s how it started

Very nice!  I love the wood pattern on the front and the edging.

Where did you get those tuning machines?

S'manth x

that’s the difficult part of the story when building an Headless bass.. so difficult to find the right hardware with the right price

this one comes from Indonesia, with super nice building quality also of the saddles. started with WSC bridges bought from public peace in Germany but were 11mm too long for my scale..

name is Aldridge Emperindo, you find him on Facebook

I have this email address: [email protected]

Please note when dealing with this guy we had a super slow communication... sending 1 message on FB Messenger.. reply after 2 days... reply back in 1hour, following reply after 3 days etc... took me approx 20 days to finalize the purchase 🤣

Thanks. I'm not in any hurry.

They look like the ABM bridges that Status used briefly in the 90s, before they switched to the current, more rounded, ABM model.
