I have never tried playing bass with them, though. I tried the latex gloves a couple of times when doing filthy mechanical jobs (as many of the car guys do) I ripped them off after a minute or so as I found I couldn't feel what I was doing, they were just more annoying than useful. I know what you mean. I am terrible for not wearing ear or hand protection when using power tools. I like to be able to hear or feel if something starts to go wrong.
