Camarillo Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 Hello everybody I'm considering to buy a Laney cabinet. I found several 4x10 in sale, with different prices. DBC 410 N410 R410 DBV410 Except for obvious differences (DBV is vertical, DBC is 400W, the others 600W), do you have any experience with those. Which one would you pick up for gigs in a small to medium bar/pub venue? Thanks a lot Quote
BassBunny Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 The N410 and R410 are now discontinued but the Nexus series got a lot of love here. Personally I would go for the DBV. Vertically aligned speakers are the way to go. 3 Quote
Camarillo Posted January 31, 2023 Author Posted January 31, 2023 Ah that's probably why they are in sale... The N410 is part of the Nexus series, isn't it? Quote

Mykesbass Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 The R410 I'm guessing is the older Richter series. Decent budget speaker for its time, very solid, but heavy, and now left behind by more recent designs. 1 Quote

la bam Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 N410 is an excellent cab. Dont get them mixed up with the nx410 though. The n410 is about 10kg lighter and uses lavoce speakers. It's a great cab. The nx410 is also great, but its physically bigger and heavier. I love the look of the dbv but havent heard one yet. Cant go wrong with the n410 at the right price. 1 Quote
