Weird leggy scrolling issue...

Question

Posted

...on my Android device. Just on basschat, just on my phone and not improved by resetting or even giving in to a much delayed Android update.

As I scroll through any forum (but not the main pages) the text sort of accumulates rather than scrolling off screen and starts to flicker and flash. Worse if there are photos or videos. It makes the site essentially inaccessible on my phone.

Any thoughts?

Yup. I'm getting the same thing for the past couple of days. Not sure if it's a site issue or a browser issue. It only happens on Basschat when using Chrome browser. Any other site using Chrome is fine, and Basschat using a different browser is fine. It seems to be a combination of those two things.

I initially thought it was only on Basschat, but I had the same problem today on my Distrokid page. So it's looking like it's a Chrome problem rather than a Basschat problem. If you read the reviews on the app store it seems like loads of people are having problems. Might be time to dump Chrome.

Definitely a Chrome mobile problem and not a Basschat problem.

I'm now getting it on any forum that uses quotations.

I'm wondering how many people who are seeing the issue are using Android mobile with Chrome browser?

Here's an example today from a totally unrelated forum.

Yep, I've noticed it on at least one other forum this week.

I've just logged here in using Firefox for the first time and all seems OK. Dreading exporting all my logins/passwords across though.
