I had my great condition pro 3 on my bench adjusting the MOSFETs, I gave it a micrometer of a turn and they were reading pretty spot on...where I left the amp running half HR or so with no problems.before I put the lid back on I thought I'd give it another quick check, when I touched the mosfet leg with the multimeter clip (as shown in picture) it made a crack and quick spark.not sure what the damage is...could be a simple fix or could be a big fix 🤷.doesn't appear to be any scorching or damage anywhere else.i did switch it on quickly afterwards where it cut out after a min or so (protection mode).collection or

I used to have an American made pro 3 with the blue lettering for years and it was a great amp. For some reason some bassist found it underpowered but as long as you kicked in the eq section l never had a problem. As someone mentioned, the pre amp is really good.

Is it worth having it repaired?....its worth having it looked at tbh.

Check diodes D27 and D28 as I don't know (from just looking at the photo of the short cut) if you put the +61V or -61V to earth with your probe when touching the resistor (not the MOSFET) leg and the ground.

Check that resistor too. 😉
