Fender Geddy Pee (MiM/MiJ mixed) *550* - *SOLD* £700 Manchester

Well. As ever, spent a fortune putting a bass together and realised the “chase” was the buzz and I don’t play nearly enough to need.

 

Also a P. Must be my 20th Precision.

 

I “want” and “Need” and then realise I just need to learn how to play.

 

Body, bridge, pickups, pickguard all MIJ 62 reissue from the 1990s.

 

Has swirl marks and dinks/knocks commensurate with 30 years.

 

Some scratches on back.

 

Neck is MiM 70’s “reissue” precision neck, bound and blocks.

 

Came to me without a nut.

 

Fender Micarta nut bought - seems the binding gave when the original nut was removed; this is glued and set, but you can see about 12mm of disruption in the lacquer.

 

I was going to sand and refinish, but it could end up looking worse.

Big Yamaha Japan strap buttons (proper job).

 

Plays ace, sounds ace - if you like P’s, which…I do and don’t 😂

 

wearing Ernie Ball slinky’s, will come with spare flats which have life left.

Whilst I take a different view to you on retail therapy I cannot accept that you “need to learn to play”; you’re perfectly competent

Imagine a Championship level midfielder taking 8 months of the pitch and expecting to still be match fit.

 

That’s where I’m at.

Credit where credits due… anyway ten minutes have passed … shouldn’t you have bought a Stingray/jazz bass/p bass/Yamaha by now ?

£625 shipped in UK. I have packing materials.

 

I’m off for next 2/3 days so can be in for collection Manchester (m27 postcode)
