BassAgent Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 Wonder who they're going to pay €1000 to take this piece of firewood from their hands... https://reverb.com/item/65744546-vintage-1965-fender-jazz-bass-project-w-gig-bag-termite-luthier-special-candy-apple-red 2 1 Quote
Doctor J Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 It should be fine if they were tone termites. Quote
TheLowDown Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 It's a toss up between that and the recently released gold foil Fender jazz. 3 Quote
Ralf1e Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Resin project. Can't ship it anywhere.Customs would be on it like a swarm of insects 🤣 Quote
lemmywinks Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Would make for a very interesting restoration project. That neck heel though! Quote
BassAgent Posted February 11, 2023 Author Posted February 11, 2023 I don't think it can be restored. The termites ate through all the wood, everything is porous and hollow, there barely seems to be any wood left at all. If the heel looks like that you can count on it they ate through the whole neck and it looks like the London tube system underneath the fretboard. 1 Quote

MungoBass Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 I love the description of ‘this one falls a bit short’…..🤣 Quote
miles'tone Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Cheaper to just buy a couple of cans of nitro and look at them instead as that's all that's left! Quote

skej21 Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 The review left by the termites states “it played (and tasted) like butter” Quote
