RnRDave Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 I got this quarter pound pickup quite a while a go and only just got round to fitting it to an old p bass. It came with a metal base plate, which the pickup nearest the bridge seems to be soldered to (I'm normally used to connecting black and white wired to the control plate) is this normal? Do I just need to connect the white wire to the volume pot? Quote
PaulThePlug Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 I would imagine so... just check resistance from white to plate... 10k ish, and continuity from plate to jack ground... is there a separate ground wire from plate to cavity... or a separate gnd wire from the other coil? Quote
