Recently acquired on the forum. Fabulously mojo'd, believed to be all-original AVRI 62 Jazz. Plays beautifully (with nicely worn in TI Jazz Flats), looks cool AF. I love everything about this bass apart from the weight. Due to a miscommunification (copyright George W Bush), it comes in at 10.18 pounds rather than the sub 9 pounds I had understood. Unfortunately my back cannot tolerate >9 pounds. Comes in generic hard case.

Collection SW London, south of Hammersmith Bridge, or deliver within UK for £30. Asking what it owes me, a bargainaceous £1130. Edit: £999 plus post.

I still have dreams about the one of these I played in Scheerer's music in Leeds back in the late 90's, wonder if it's as good as my dreams have made it?

Clarky is a legend though, top chap ;)

Thanks Andy. Its also on eBay (at a price that reflects eBay fees). The auction finishes this evening and there's 21 watchers. I would rather this stayed in the BC community, however, as its a lovely bass in all respects bar (for me) the weight!

Sign of the times. Despite being the lowest priced AVRI 62 Jazz I have seen on eBay and fully £600 (33%) cheaper than the other listed AVRI 62 Jazz, it didn't sell.

Oh well. That means its still available to you lovely BC folks!

For full disclosure, the truss rod nut is quite recessed. However, it turns fine as far as I can tell. Its currently nearly maxed anticlockwise due to low tension TI Flats (I tightened it clockwise to check it turns and then returned it back to close-to-max anticlockwise)

I wish my bloody feeble back was not so bloody feeble! That has to be the coolest Jazz bass out there. I wonder how much you'd pay for a factory 'relic' as good as that?

Curse my useless back!

I was asked for some pics of the solid, functional but far from pretty hard case. Here you go

that certainly looks solid and functional, a tad blocky to be called pretty so yup, I'd agree with all of the above :D
