I agree. I have a Mensinger (Maruszczyk) Cazpar short scale (not the one for sale on here btw). The quality & workmanship is fantastic for a bass of any price. These instruments are great value new but unbeatable at the prices they are going for used. Just my opinion but you don't see much negative written about them.
