ped Posted February 17, 2023 Author Posted February 17, 2023 Tricky isn’t it. Reckon it’s something fairly budget given the rig and so on but that’s not meant disrespectfully at all. Wondered about ESP? Not a Sire. Vintage? Quote
sykilz Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Some sort of Tobias....??? (I'm like John Snow, I know nothing, but the shape of the horns looked familiar...???) Quote

ped Posted February 17, 2023 Author Posted February 17, 2023 Don’t think it’s an MTD but the knob layout is similar Quote
EBS_freak Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 I think the secret to finding this bass is going to be recognising the position of the knob which is located behind the bridge. That's really quite rare to as there's not normally that much wood behind the bridge. My mind did shift to Warrior as I knew that they did that 3 in a line with 2 underneath the bridge and bridge pickup... but no, no cigar. Again, with Tobias and MTD, that rear knob is in the wrong place. 1 Quote
EBS_freak Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 That headstock looks quite Marleaux... two ticks. Off to google. Quote
ped Posted February 17, 2023 Author Posted February 17, 2023 Fret markers along top edge. Pickups appear to have writing on bottom right of case. Quote

Lw. Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Looked very Tobias/MTD in the first pic but I think the headstock in the second pic goes against that. Headstock looks a bit Washburn-y? Quote
kodiakblair Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 I'm pretty sure it's an In Yen Vina from Vietnam. Along with building for ESP they did the Peavey Grind NTB and Harley Benton BZ. Current models have blank boards like this but blocks, centred dots and offset have all appeared on previous issues. 5 Quote

CJPJ Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Definitely ^ this one -looks really nice. Quote
ped Posted February 18, 2023 Author Posted February 18, 2023 He says the logo looked like this. Fairly adamant it’s not the logo of the bass above but perhaps it’s sold as a sub brand Quote
GBH Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Harley Benton? There's a 5 string on eBay that is very similar. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Harley-Benton-5-string-active-thru-neck-bass/195573865808?var=0&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338749374&toolid=20006&customid=GB_619_195573865808.141227150325~2062689181872-g_EAIaIQobChMIh7e3oYSf_QIVCG8YCh1xFwH1EAQYAyABEgIZGPD_BwE&pageci=104abae2-fed5-4bbc-bb77-14ea35837632&redirect=mobile 1 1 Quote
