These are outstanding instruments and worth way more than the asking price here (something that all too often happens with newish Yamahas, but which shouldn't). I get the sense that with this range it all came together at Yamaha, everything before led up to it, and everything after, no matter how good, is slightly in its shadow. In the same way that the 80's BB series and the 90 TRBs are considered true classics today, so will this be, although I'm convinced it's the best of the bunch. Buy this and you're going to be one happy bass player 👍

Nice! I fear that my wife might notice if I bought this and sneaked it into the house - otherwise I'd be tempted to get it to compare with a BB2000
