did you changed the valve??

what kind of power amp do you use?

No i have not changed the valve. In the past i used a QSC PLX 2402 power amp. Which is a superb amp. But it made my rack far too heavy. I now use a Synq 1K0 stereo power amp. Though they aren’t produced new any more.

When I bought it there was a sovtek installed.. I don’t know if it was the stock valve.

I wanted to change the valve in mine a couple of years back but the ones ordered did not fit in the sleeve on the F-1x board.  Eventually i found one that fitted but the problem i was having wasn't due to the valve,  the preamp needed a new transformer. i kept the new valve as a spare.
