Which replacement jazz neck?

Hi

a combination of factors (well, a socket set and the worlds heaviest flatwounds...) lead to the snapping of my truss rod in a precision neck i have on my jazz body.

This leaves me with i dilemma:

1. Do i buy a new jazz bass neck?

2. Do i sell the jazz body/dimarzio ultras/ badass etc and buy/buld my dream bass? This would be a stingray h/s with a jazz-width neck..... did anyone see the blueburst ray on ebay yesterday/today? went for pennies! lucky somebody.....

3. Is a truss rod a replaceable thing? is getting it replaced cheaper than a new neck?

If anyone has a jazz neck, get in touch. if not, your recommendations please!

(incidentally, TLC's waterfalls is truely rocking my bass world)
