Musicroom closures

Just saw that Musicroom are closing 6 of it's 7 stores with only the Denmark store staying open, I believe there is quite a sale going in those stores..50% off instruments and 40% off everything else.

Not much in the way of big reduction on bass products though.

Mrs Mep and a friend visited the Exeter branch today but weren't let in as they had a staff shortage. This was just after they let 3 EMO kids out and nothing to do with that they were 2 50ish women, as that is what they felt!

The York branch is destined for closure. Banks Musicroom is believed to be the oldest 

music shop in the UK, having opened in 1756.
A sad sign of the times.

My closest store is Exeter buts it's quite a trek without knowing what they have and price etc.

Banks' closure will leave quite a hole in York's retail landscape as well as depriving us of quite a decent music shop. Helpful staff and a decent selection of instruments, though the usual brands and no second hand stuff.

I guess gear4music will soon be all that’s left in the area. 😕
