Bassassin
Terribly sad news, Pulp were the one band from that 90s scene I really enjoyed. RIP.

Maude
As with the Stones or Beatles question with the answer being The Kinks, the answer to Oasis or Blur was always Pulp. Sad news indeed. 😔
uncle psychosis
Struggling to process this one. I don't really do the whole celebrity RIP thing, but Pulp were "my band". I play bass mostly because of Steve. My username is a reference to one of their songs, and one of his killer basslines. It feels really quite odd to be quite so upset at the death of a total stranger.

It’s odd, isn’t it?

I'm still not over Chris, I can't listen to Gasoline without tearing up. Weirdly I can listen to Soundgarden ok but that song just hits me.

It could also be an age thing/ things I’ve experienced as I find music in general hits me more emotionally than when I was younger.
Dubs
I've played Disco 2000 probably 300+ times at various events over the last 10 years, I was thinking of Steve as we played it on Saturday. It went down a storm, as always. R.I.P
