Left-handed Double Bass for Sale - *SOLD* £450 Near Slough

An original lefty for sale. It's chinese made, I've been told from a luthier that is NOT a plywood. It actually sounds great, has Presto jazzicato E,A, and LaBella Golden Tone (nylon on gut) D,G. Solid bridge. It is in a very good shape, just minor scratches. Comes with an inexpensive German bow, cover and a wheel. I am selling it because I am not living in UK and naturally do not doing any work there. The bass need to be played and not standing in a corner, therefore the giveaway price!! This looks a lot like a Gear4Music DB I had 18 years ago. I’m pretty sure that this is ply. In fact it’s almost 100%.
 

Thats not to say it’s a bad bass. If it’s we’ll set up, then it’s a low cost starter bass.

I bought this about 15 years from a US store, in San Franscisco (if I am not mistaken). They shipped it in a carton box and arrived with no damage!!! Had a very low quality bridge with unusable adjusters, a terrible tailpiece (from some sort of metal) and was strung with some wires reminiscing bass strings. I replaced all that plus worked a bit on the nut. I like medium-high action so the bass is set up that way but it is easy to cut the bridge down and making it as low as the potential buyer needs. The bass has a big sound, beyond its value. It is great for a second (backup) instrument to lug in subway, around the city or a starter bass for electric bassists!

@Burns-bass I don't mean to doubt you and your experience but a friend of mine professional luthier told me that is not plywood. In any case is fun to play!

Is it a genuine left hand bass with the sound post under the G string and the bass bar under the E string? 

Or have the strings simply been reversed?
