Kiwi Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Make sure to take plenty of photos so I can throw them up on the BC FB page! 1 Quote

scrumpymike Posted September 17, 2023 Author Posted September 17, 2023 (edited) yorks5stringer and Norm: two proper bass-playing gents and S-W Bash stalwarts, who will be sadly missed this 8th of October and beyond. Edited September 17, 2023 by scrumpymike 2 6 Quote
Woodinblack Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Indeed - that is why I put the picture of both of them a few pages back and mentioned missing people - I didn't realise that it hadn't been noticed, maybe I should have mentioned it on here. Quote

Rich Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 I'm going to wear a ludicrous shirt in memory of Simon. No way I can compete with this one though! 2 hours ago, scrumpymike said: 2 Quote

scrumpymike Posted September 20, 2023 Author Posted September 20, 2023 CALL FOR RAFFLE PRIZES!! Whatcha got? I'll start the ball rolling with a very clean and tidy Warwick BC80 combo 🙂 Quote
Rich Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 (edited) Also this. More of a vocal tool than anything, I used it for live harmony BVs with a band I was in many many years ago, since when it's been gathering dust. It's been around the block as you can see by the rack ears, but it's working fine. I never tried it with instruments, I imagine it should work for them too. It's too big to be a paperweight and the wrong shape for a doorstop. I've got a copy of the manual knocking around somewhere. No power supply, but it takes a bog ordinary 9v power supply and only draws 250mA. Edited September 20, 2023 by Rich 1 Quote
scrumpymike Posted September 20, 2023 Author Posted September 20, 2023 Looks like we're off to a good start with the raffle! Quote

I have a venerable Intelligate XR2000, Class A, configurable 2 Channel Expander/Gate/Ducker that I used as a compressor for our band PA. Old but functional, I believe (apart from 1 function select LED, lower-right should be lit, to the left of the green power LED) 2 Quote
neepheid Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Who's getting excited then? I'm going to have a test fit of all the gear in the car on Saturday... and try to figure out where a Markbass NY121 cab might fit into this equation... 1 Quote
stewblack Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 (edited) I'll bring something along for the raffle. I can say this without fear of contradiction. I just don't know what it will be Edited September 23, 2023 by stewblack 2 Quote
neepheid Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Well, it fits! I think I have a plan for the Markbass cab too. Then cover it all in a blanket and hopefully it'll all be fine. Also done some road trip prep work on the car - unclogged my rear washer nozzle, emptied the water out of one of my rear light clusters (bloody condensation), fitted new front wipers as the old ones weren't clearing so well. Two weeks to go... 2 Quote
