matbard Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 (edited) New 50-watt tube combo amp from Fender, and first signature amp! https://youtu.be/2QdgXjo1ZC8 Edited March 14, 2023 by wateroftyne Quote
BassmanPaul Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 Sounds a lot better that the Bassman ever did. I wonder what it's like at volume? Quote
Jono Bolton Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 They could have at least tuned the bass before recording the video 1 Quote

Lozz196 Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 Also made me chuckle a bit the way he went on about how important the mids were yet they were backed off in pretty much every shot of the eq section. Not that I’m an AC hater I should point out, never seen the point of the what seems to me to be irrational hatred towards him. 3 Quote

Clarky Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 Sounded OK, if a bit middy (clearly by design) for my tastes. But with only a volume and no gain control, how do you drive this if you want valve saturation? Quote

P-T-P Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 (edited) Plenty of love for AC from me and was quite tempted right up to the point where my expected price point turned out to be spectacularly off the mark! Edited March 7, 2023 by P-T-P Quote

Expand Funnily enough, it was almost exactly as expensive as I expected it to be; not that I think it's probably worth that much, just that everything new seems overpriced to me these days. Quote

ped Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 I really like it 😎 just looking for the weight.. 55lbs not too bad Quote
Hobbayne Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 Nice looking amp. He says its primarily a pick playing rock bassists amp, but it is quite flexible for different genres (Or words to that effect) But at only 50w thats gonna struggle down the Dog And Duck with my dad rock band. 🙂 A bit pricey too!. BTW why has Irish accent turned American?? ☺️ 1 Quote

gjones Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 (edited) I bet it weighs the same as a small planet. Do you get a free roadie with every combo. I owned the Tweed Fender TV15 (which was issued a dozen years ago), that gave me a hernia lifting it, and that was solid state. It didn't help that it had just one handle at the top and my flat was on the 3rd floor of an old tenement block. Edited March 9, 2023 by gjones Quote
matbard Posted March 9, 2023 Author Posted March 9, 2023 that weighs approx. 25 kgs, less than a good Fender Twin Reverb that guitarists handle around for decades Quote
