Ampeg 610 Cover Issue!!

I've bought a 610, which is great and also bought a thick padded vinyl cover for it separately. The issue is, it takes about 10 minutes to get it on. It's very snug indeed. Any ideas or tips? I'm thinking, take the back rails off or forget the cover!!!!!!

Vinyl stretches so if I was you I'd persevere for a bit. Taking off the skid rails, probably not a bad plan unless you are taking off the cover and then skidding it up on stage.
