nilorius Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 Hey! What's Your current band name and are You satisfied with it ? Quote
neepheid Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 Originals band - The Inevitable Teaspoons. Very happy with it, pretty sure it's unique, it's got a story behind it and we definitely wanted to be "The somethings" Covers band - Nine Lives. Eh, I'm sure we're not the only rock covers band in the country operating under that name but we're the only Nine Lives up here in NE Scotland so it works OK. 1 Quote
Lozz196 Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 Band 1 - The Spacewasters. Originals psychobilly type punk. I am the basswaster. Band 2 - The Dogmattics. Classic punk covers. Band 3 - Thunderkunt. Classic rock (but instrumental only, no singer, no gigs). 3 Quote

Doctor J Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 The Homeball - There's a long and convoluted story how this evolved, but it's ok. Quote
Dad3353 Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 The Daub'z; our original rehearsal space was at La Daubelière. Happy with it..? Of course, or we'd have changed it. Quote
Jackroadkill Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 Our singer's name is Dave Jackson, so we are The (Dave) Jackson Five, or (D)JV for short. 1 Quote
Paul S Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 My blues/rock trio are called Tore Down, after the Freddy King song of that name. We keep it in the set, of course I think it is fine, although I can think of a couple of names I prefer but it was a done deal when I joined and not up for negotiation. Quote
BreadBin Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 We are called Aimless Arrows, a play on the Hawaiian proverb. Quote
MichaelDean Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 We're a doom metal band called Hora, which is Cornish for "whore". Our first EP is going to be about the Cornish witch trials. 3 Quote
woodyratm Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 The Julian year. The singer suggested it and we genuinely couldn’t be bothered trying to think of anything else. Seems to work now. Quote
Len_derby Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 Originals band is Diamond Bridges. Formed the year that the two of us who started it up turned 60. Hence diamond in the name. Covers band is Night Shift. I can’t remember who came up with that but I think it suits the covers pub band we are. Blues trio, The Daz Kelly Band. Guess what the singer/guitarist’s name is. Quote

lozkerr Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 Band 1 The C80s - covers of 80s indie and post-punk. Band 2 Punch Candy - covers and originals with an emphasis on female rockers. I have a feeling Punch Candy might not last - since Christmas, it's progressed as quickly as a sloth on Valium. If it folds, I'll likely start up another one, which I'd like to call the Norloch Rats. 1 Quote

Dan Dare Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 My most recent bands (haven't been in one since moving out of London last year) were the Soul City Senders and Streamliner. Quote
