TheGreek
Does anybody use these? Available as a 5 string set? https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0002GNY1Y/ref=ewc_pr_img_1?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=
steve-bbb
being an avid swingbass66 user since late 70s I thought id give them a try... but didn't like the tension - much prefer la Bella deep talking as gauge for gauge the tension is is much closer to round wounds
paul_5
I used to, but found the tension was unbearable (I suffer from sporadic tendonitis in my fretting hand), so I found that I had to drop a dress size to get them playable, which felt wrong. I paid £15 for a set of Olympic flat wounds from Amazon and found they're a much better fit for my playing.
nilebodgers
Yes, on my Jazz in those gauges. (Tension feels the same as 45-105 roundwounds) I really like them for the mellower stuff I mostly play nowadays.
thodrik
Used to use the 110-50 set and loved them for tuning to drop C and playing fuzzed out stoner rock and retro Sabbathy classic rock. Really liked them.
naxos10
I use the short scale version and would agrre that they have around the same tension as 45-105/50-110.
TheGreek
I emailed Rotosound about buying a single low B string. See the thread "Prompt response from Rotosound HQ" thread. Edited March 15, 2023 by TheGreek
spongebob
I use 45-105's of these on both my Stingrays. Love the feel, tone, the tension.....superb strings. I no longer use rounds, as I find them way to spongy and zingy....tried these a couple of years back, and I've never left.
