It was a bit of an impulse buy and I didn't realise how huge it would be. I'll probably send it back and get something small.
It does look cool and feels quality for the price. Even if it is giant.  

 

I didn't send mine back. It's too much fun and didn't cost much.

Massive volume drop when engaged and wholly useless gain control - even on the minimum setting, my passive P bass is maxing out the envelope (even at the low sweep setting); that renders the high setting totally unusable. Will be returning this tomorrow.

 

Glad I scored a Micro-Tron again, which should arrive tomorrow.

It’s frustrating as it sounds like it’d be pretty good if it responded properly. Does actually respond OK to slap, which my previous Micro-tron didn’t.

I don’t suppose you can change the sensitivity internally. Just goes to illustrate how finding the best filter for your own style also needs to take into account the output and bandwidth of your instrument.

Might be possible but nothing in the documentation to say so.

Doesn't sound right, even the most basic of mutton circuit clones should have more than enough range to stop it from triggering.

try another, maybe?  The scratch could be indicative of it already having been returned before for being a dud.

No, it was fully factory sealed. 
 

Not going to bother if this volume drop is a “feature”.

Wow. I used mine happily with quiet passive basses and really hot active basses. The gain works just fine.

Sorry you had such a bad experience.

I was excited when I first heard about this pedal in the dim and distant past, however I've now decided not to bother. On my all-boss gigging pedalboard I have an AW-3 which makes a wide range of funky sounds, and my recently acquired HX effects has a pretty decent sounding model of a mutron III that I have been having fun playing with.

Autofilter will also get you there or thereabouts with some fiddling
