Go pro in the corner, silent-ish rehearsal with everything into the desk. Run a few takes of each track and pick the best one. The drummer has just finished giving it a bit of a polish and syncing the audio & video up. I think he's done a pretty good job: This was wonderful, superb playing and what a beautiful voice your singer has, excellent, good luck with the band John 😎 1 1 Quote
colleya Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Thanks John. She's a real find, I had to concentrate extra hard at the audition because I just wanted to listen to her singing! 2 Quote

Great feel, balance and groove. It's also nice to see a drummer play with dynamics and not trying to kill their kit. 🤣 I'm going through the same work process of getting a start up band together and although it's taken a lot of doing I'm pleased where we have got to. We're doing covers but have a "guideline" of not covering the same tracks everyone else does and it's been a breath of fresh air and well worth the work. Some of the tracks we do are : Say It Isn't So - Daryl Hall & John Oates, Free - Denice Williams, Never Too Much - Luther Vandross, Rock Steady - Aretha Franklin, When Will You Be Mine - Average White Band, Stop By Monies - Liquid Soul, Time Won't Wait - Jamiroquai etc Next rehearsal is tomorrow afternoon to go over some stuff ready for New Years Eve 👍 1 Quote
