tauzero
My ardour got severely dampened when I saw the price. Wonder if anyone on AliExpress will make a copy.
tauzero
I've just been reading a little piece on Vincent Berton, who made this and another couple of dozen guitars and basses. Rather a tragic story, he took his onw life in the 1990s after producing the couple of dozen highly imaginative instruments. https://jedistar.com/vincent-berton/
Happy Jack
Yup, if I was selling an incredibly rare and expensive bass with a totally off-the-wall design, I'd definitely list it with four rather poor photographs and no description worth mentioning. Must be a French thing.
Frank Blank
Of all the purples, Spaking Purple was always my favourite.
Hellzero
I've seen one of the sword bass model in the late 80's at Universal Bass in Paris. I didn't try it nor buy it as it was, and still is, way too ... say ... rococo or kitsch. It took years to sell, that said. BigRedX
As you might have guessed I really like the look of that. One word of warning to anyone considering buying this, if any of those white marks on the body are paint chips rather than lighting reflections you'll either have to live with them or have the whole bass refinished. Unfortunately flip paint can't be retouched as there is no guarantee that the new paint will flip in the same way as the existing finish. Hellzero
There's a fretless version for sale in France at a very decent price. https://www.leboncoin.fr/instruments_de_musique/2236782373.htm
