Hopefully someone will be along to answer this:

If one were to import a bass from the US, would it require CITES documentation if it had an ebony fingerboard? Thx

Wotchyabuying @Clarky ?

Nothing specific @Beedster Was just browsing a bunch of basses and one had an ebony board, so it was more for future reference and curiosity. Besides, after last week's horse riding accident, I couldn't pick up a ukelele let alone a bass

Went on a supposed "beginner's" horse ride last week, was bucked off and have cracked ribs and damaged right shoulder. Cannot play a bass at all as also lacerated left index finger on rein while being thrown.

Am sure I will recover but it may take some time. I know the BC Basses For Sale forum relies on me, so I have that as an incentive to get better

Finished musical instruments were exempted from CITES rules in August 2019 - with the exception of Brazilian rosewood. Ebony was never on the list, it was always mostly about rosewood :)
