NikNik
Never seen one of these before, possibly moddled after the Dan Armstrong bass with sliding pickup. Shame about the tuner bodge. And what are those six holes in a seemingly symmetrical shape?

They did have a siding/moveable pick-up but it looks really odd with those replacement tuners as the originals were the much smaller guitar type tuners that many short scale basses of that era used. chris_b
The tuners on my Framus Star bass were one of the first things to break. They were plastic buttons on a metal shaft and the plastic broke off in no time at all. I replaced them with tuners bought at a local shop. They worked but never looked right. BigRedX
There's a thread about a similar looking model on TalkBass. Those filled holes in the headstock appear to be where the original A and D string machine heads went. Obviously they were too close to the others for the replacement tuners. Edit: according to the Vintage Framus website it's actually a Hollywood Bass Edited March 29, 2023 by BigRedX
