Happy Jack
I like everything about that except the colour-matched finger rest. Not sure why that upsets me, I guess I could grow to love it.

Cracking job there, @kevin_lindsay.
Vin Venal
I love that, including the finger rest (not that I have use for one).
kevin_lindsay
The matching finger rest is one of my favourite touches! I did the same on my Shell Pink P-Bass. My 2 tone burst one has the finger rest sprayed in tobacco brown. Edited May 31 by kevin_lindsay

Mind you, the ginger will probably fall off once you start playing! 1

That’s a lovely trio of 51/54 types you have there and I must admit that this style of P is gaining in my affections of late.

NJE
That looks amazing! Where do you source your necks and bodies from? (That’s a weird question in any other context). Do you buy them finished or do you do them yourself? I really fancy building my own bass.
umcoo
I've followed a few of your builds over the year @kevin_lindsay and they always look spectacular. Love the pastel colours too. Great bass.

On this build I got the body from Guitarbuild in the UK. The neck was made twice as I tore out the wood while routing the headstock shape on the first one - aaaagh!!!!! I sprayed the neck and body using nitrocellulose lacquer. Edited September 29, 2023 by kevin_lindsay

kevin_lindsay
I gave the two tone Tele away to a friend as a gift. I've done the same with the Surf Green Jazz in the pic. Edited September 29, 2023 by kevin_lindsay

I'm playing 50s style Squier Precisions - superb basses in their own right - and there's something about these basses that just works so well. They absolutely roar with overdrive, whuch suits me fine 😁 You've inspired me to look into building my own!
