Very rare bass In unbelievable condition, considering it’s age and the amount of gigs it’s played !! 
Has a replacement new old stock preamp ( unbelievably rare to find !! ) comes with the original preamp also

One of the finest Precisions Fender has produced in my opinion.  This was a period in which real attention to detail returned to Fender production (and design).  I've had a few of these, indeed, one in each colour other than the later Walnut.  I know the bass of which police squad speaks too - possibly the best preserved example still in existence (I owned it). These basses were generally very well constructed and from premium parts.  A wonderful thing, and with a bit of attention and careful set-up can be sublime players.  Good luck with the sale - these really are a rare version of the P

I tried out one of these, but in blue, would've in 81 presumably when they came out , it was in Soho Sound house, they were a bit under 500 quid new as I recall. It was a smashing bass in every respect and I would have had it like a shot, unfortunately I was just "kicking the tyres" and had nowhere near enough dosh to actually buy it. 

Good to see one again, whoever end up with it will be a lucky lad 👍

The band I sometimes dep for, their full time bassist has one of these, identical colour the lot and it's probably the best Fender Precision I've ever played. Everything about it is just perfect and it's a real shame Fender didn't continue to produce these as they're probably the best Precision they've EVER produced.
