Cymatic LR-16 Live Recorder + 2x8-way loom. £260 *Open to offers* - *SOLD*

The easiest way to record your band live - straight from the desk!  Plug in, power up, press record.

For Sale is a Cymatic LR-16 Multitrack recorder, plus 2x8way insert looms. The LR-16 is designed to plug straight into the insert points on a mixing desk, and records to a fast USB stick or a USB HDD.  The device is designed to be simple to use, hit record and forget about it until the end of the night.  Recordings are 16-track, 44.1 or 48 kHz,  and 16 or 24-bit recording (if the HDD media is fast enough to sustain it). Inputs can be at mic level, or padded if necessary, and there is a headphone output for monitoring. The device can also be used as a 16-in 2-out USB interface for a PC.

This particular one served for many years plugged into the Allen & Heath desk at my church, recording multitrack recordings of the bands for special services or when they wanted to record songs specially.  It was retired when the desk dies and was replaced with a full digital desk. I made a lot of recordings with this over the years, and provided the USB was formatted correctly on the LR-16, and was fast enough, I had no problems with drop out or glitches even over 2hrs+ recording. (Like any audio equipment that writes to USB, it prefers fast media, and some brands to others. SanDisk was always OK)  As far as I can tell everything works (see the photographs of power up and menu options). I will try to test it and confirm. I have included the looms, so all you need to record your band live is a desk with insert points on the channels, and a USB Hard drive. There is a bit of fluff on the body, but everything is clean.

Note: There are no preamps in the device, it uses the desk preamps. Note also that yes it does connect to the INSERT points, not the direct out or other channel outs. This is a deliberate design decision as it means that simple TRS-TRS leads can be used to connect up.

There is a good review of the LR-16 here: https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/cymatic-audio-lr16

These have recently sold on Reverb for ~£275, so priced to sell and including the box, psu and looms.  Either collection from Solihull, or I can post at buyer's expense.
