Risk101
So I’ve been hankering after that classic P sound after listening to too much 70s/80s stuff. Wanted something not too expensive and this (discontinued around 2017 I think?) made in Indonesia fitted the bill at £260. Yeah I know 5 strings wasn’t a thing back in the 70s, but I’ve been a 5er man for decades! As far as I can tell it’s completely “stock” and in great condition. Just needed a little truss rod tweak and the saddles adjusted and it sounds great! Edited April 13, 2023 by Risk101 Typo

iconic
That's a 2015 model year, Cor-Tek build as you probably already know, simple, efficient and very pretty indeed, particularly that neck wood. 😎 Edited April 13, 2023 by iconic 1
Risk101
Thanks @iconic actually I didn’t know that! Have always admired Cort guitars which probably explains why this Squier seems really well put together! Yes, I love the neck colouration too!
BassBunny
These are fabulous basses. I had a CAR one and to this day I do not know why I sold it.
NJE
I had one of these for a few years. I was going through a phase of not feeling I deserved expensive gear so sold my Stingray 5 or Roscoe Beck V, I can’t remember. This performed so well in the soul band I was in at the time and the low B helped with all the key changes we did. Great bass that got so many good comments on its sound and look. It looked so good in band pics.

Paul S
How heavy are these?
MartinB
That there is a Vintage Modified Precision Bass V. Mine's 4.1 kg (9 lb). That style of tortoiseshell is not my favourite, so I swapped for mint green:
Risk101
That's nice, and I like the mint green too! My one weighs 9lb 2 and balances nicely on the strap.
