SOLD - MANY THANKS

Hi there,

Looking to sell my 2007 CIJ Geddy Lee jazz bass. It's been a wonderful bass and used so much over the years, however truthfully since moving to Dingwalls a few years ago I haven't really ever touched anything else and I'd like to free up some funds towards a Canadian model.

I've owned this from new, bought in Boston and transported back here. It comes with a Fender TSA flight case and the case candy too. It is a simply fantastic bass and well deserving of its reputation. The neck is a dream and it sounds great.

It's been well loved and well used - gigged and recorded - and as a result there are some small dings/scrapes as shown in the photos. None of these affect playability and truthfully aren't particularly noticeable, particularly under stage lighting.

Looking for £825 £775 OVNO which is in line with previous ones from what I can see on here, particularly as it is coming with the flight case which was a few hundred extra. Happy and would prefer to do a meet rather than posting it however I can do so at buyer's expense. I'm in London and around Oxford fairly regularly.

Happy to answer any questions as best I can, please let me know!

Ash

Oh my god, if I hadn't just bought an MIJ Mustang bass I would have bitten your hand off for this! Alas, the coffers are empty...

Beautiful bass, GLWTS.

+1 Only sold mine as I have a glass back and it weighed 9.8 pounds - which is nothing to many bassists

Not a problem, we're a helpful bunch on BC

I love these CIJ Geddy basses and if i didn't already have one i'd be on this.

I've had a Dingwall NG2 but i must admit i personally prefer my Geddy J.

All the best with the new Dingwall you're looking for and post some pics when you get it.

Snip with the case, methinks.

But don't 'need' two...

I think they definitely do better in pairs 😂

just fyi to everyone too - I’ll be having a fairly large abdominal surgery next Thursday (18th May, ulcerative colitis sucks) so will be out of action and unable to be packing up the bass / travelling for a meet for a minimum of 6 weeks, likely closer to eight. So if I’m a bit patchy in responding during this time I apologise, and furthermore if you’re thinking about going for it it’s gonna need to be this weekend or waiting till after! 😊

I keep coming back to this. I have no real experience of Jazz basses, but I love Geddy Lee and his playing/sound. I hope someone buys this so I no longer have that urge to splurge. GLWTS.

Trust me these basses are outstanding bits of kit. Far better than any US jazz i've ever owned or played. Its one bass i will never sell.

Gorgeous necks.

Best Jazz out there. I had one around the same time as this one, absolutely stunning. Knocks all current models into a cocked hat in my humble opinion.

I genuinely wish I had the money
