I'm looking to trade this really for something short scale (preferred) or maybe something with a jazz width neck or maybe a head over 400ish watts 🤔

 

My only reason to trade is a wrist injury that's stopped me playing this.

 

On to the bass..

It started life as a Q6, rosewood board and has been heavily modified.

I loved the way the bass played but the original 45hz pickups and circuit just lacked something.

So the project started!

 

It's got two emg reverse 45p pickups and a emg bqc circuit running at 18v (could be run at 9 too). So many tones with this setup.

 

It's weighing in at just over 10lb no light weight.. but it is lighter now with the hipshot tuners and aluminium hipshot A bridge (this also helped to open up the tone). Old bridge was 1lb on its own 🤣

 

It's strung with thomastik low tension jazz flats at the mo and sounds amazing. (I put these on as they are very easy to play and helped with my wrist pain).

It has also had rounds on a few times and has instant Spector tone on tap.

Plays lovely with low action no buzz anywhere it has a brass nut and custom 3 ply pickguard.

 

String mute included.

Sum of all the parts is quite staggering as I made this to keep.

 

I will be sorry to see this unique beast go.

I priced at less than the cost of the parts alone, if there is no love I guess I'll part it out to get some cash back but it would be a shame as it's a project that's worked out nicely.

 

Paint job is not pro and has imperfect bits which I've tried to show in the photos, it's a rattle can job.. it is starting to age nicely though and has developed some mojo it's kind of ratty in a cool way 😎 ... as far as I know it's 20+ years old at this point.

 

It might be marmite buts it plays and sounds ace and always gets questions thrown at me when I've gigged it.

 

Ive not got anything to ship this in so meeting or collection to to trade / sell would be best.
