Ashdown Sub Octave

Does the Ashdown sub octave pedal mirror the sound of the effect on the Ashdown amp?

 

I'm looking for a pedal that does 

 

Trying a mate's Boss OC-3 and it ain't cutting it

when I asked those in the know at ashdown when it was in development, they said yes.

however, when I tried a production model I thought it was pants lol

Others may have a differing opinion lol

I now use the mxr BOD

The pedal was similar to Boss OC-2. I really liked it however it was uncontrollable with how it picked up extraneous noise and was returned. The supplier refunded me as they said it was irreparable and their other ones did the same thing. A pity as when it worked it was cool. 
 

It was Close enough at medium to low settings to the onboard sub on the old Klystrom heads. Nice feature when used subtly on a fantastic amplifier
