That misalignment of the strings over the bridge pickup is something which could not be lived with in the world of bass, nor in the world of soft furnishings.

How many times! The strings don’t need to perfectly bisect the two poles to work properly…

Looks like it's an active bass judging by the amount of knobs on it, I prefer my soft furnishings passive.

Looks like the E string was slipped out of the saddle before the image was taken. Soft furnishing artiste knew no better. Fail.

Sonically, not so much. However, the way it was lazily strung up, as Downunderwonder has outlined, is unforgivable. Verboten. There is no good reason for it to be so.

Down with that kind of thing, now, in the future, in the past, in other dimensions and especially on the living room floor.

Funny thoughts occur in the subconscious. In particular " won't crumbs and coffee stains get lodged under the strings?"

Yes, I know it's irrational, but I feel uncomfortable with it !
