fleabag
Strange i know, but I was suddenly wondering about vocalists with monstrous lung power. There's plenty to choose from so too many to list in one post, but i'm throwing in two out of my many faves. Howard Werth of the band Audience and PP Arnold
Bolo
This type of thing? There was a thread on songs with nice vocals a year or maybe two ago. Can't recall the title now...
Waddo Soqable
I thought you might have meant that 80s song, whatever it was, where it goes... "... Its going to be, a Lovely Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa......... y etc, ad infinitum ( which obviously wasn't real singing)
SpondonBassed
Billy Ocean. He has three lungs you know. Fact. Merrill Garbus has a fair set (of lungs) on her. Good thing she's got a gob that can handle it.

Sir Tom is an amazing singer, even now at the ripe old age of 82. Saw him a few years ago and was blown away by his voice - not just the power of it but perfectly in tune throughout a two hour set. Amazing. I’d also have to add Whitney Houston to the list. Again, not just a powerful voice but also that rare ability to control it whatever the pitch, from a whisper to a full on roar. Saw her in concert and couldn’t believe how incredible she was.
