sirmuppet
Hi guys. Am putting together a pedalboard at the moment. I have a daisy chain power supply from my boss pedal. Some of the ends don't reach the desired pedal and wondered if extensions exist. I don't need massive lengths just a couple of pedals length really. Do these exist and if so where do you get them? I've been looking but I'm not coming up ith much. Best I could find were some CCTV ones on Amazon which I didn't know if they were right or not. Oh and it's just the standard Boss size 9v ones. Thanks for any help.

I was looking for just an extender. I guess if you don't go over the Ma's then it shouldn't be an issue should it?

Apparently if you leave one unplugged you should tape it up with electrical tape

That should work as it would the same I guess as one pedal being a higher draw off the original chain but just supplying more rather than one draw. If that makes sense, lol.

If it's not right, someone will let you know! You wouldnt just get a cheap harley benton supply and not worry about that?

So figured I'd try that first.
Downunderwonder
It would be a pretty simple job to solder in some extension splices. If you stagger the join by snipping the cable an inch or so apart then one piece of heat shrink can tidily cover the joint with no shorting. Remember to put your heat shrink on the cable before soldering.
jimmyb625
Is this the sort of thing you're looking for? https://cpc.farnell.com/pro-elec/psg02091/lead-dc-extension-2-1mm-1-5m/dp/PW01903?st=2.1mm extension Edited May 11, 2023 by jimmyb625 Link

This may sound stupid but it says DC, can that still be used on an AC adaptor?

The voltage your adapter puts out is 9v DC, so yes, it’s fine. I’ve used these myself (I love CPC, they do everything). Commonly used on AC and DC outputs (it's termed a "DC Power Plug" but there's no actual electrical polarity to the plug itself).
