Are you sure about this? It’s got me puzzled.

I use Standard Long Scale LaBellas on 34” scale length Fenders and they are perfect.

760FS standard long scale will fit a precision or jazz, I’ve got them

Now I’m really confused! 
 

I tried the E string from another standard Long Scale set on a Hohner 34” P Bass copy. It ended up splitting / unravelling because it was getting wrapped around the peg. 

 

LaBella use the “wound length” (ball to silk) to measure their string lengths. I’ve just ordered a set

of Mediums which come up as 34 and a quarter.

 

I’m now thinking these may not actually work either.

I ordered a set of medium scale Labella's earlier this year and both the E & A strings were more like 33", so there is definitely some leeway on those measurements.

Appreciate the input. 
 

I’m going to withdraw the set from sale and if I get the same issue with the E String I may resort to a spacer at the ball end.
