Wil Posted October 22, 2007 Author Posted October 22, 2007 With the money you'll save off a new one from Rob, you can buy a hacksaw
MB1 Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 MB1. Great bass........bloody expensive hacksaw! All the best!
Wil Posted October 25, 2007 Author Posted October 25, 2007 Bump. Few days left on the auction, I've reduced the price slightly as well, need this to sell to pay off some credit cards
fretmeister Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007
Well, an Alembic preferably I'm starting to think I'm insane as well. Am I? Maybe I should get a fretless neck from Status for it in order to add some variety...
I got a fretless neck made for my Status this year - was about £400 and it is now my main bass. BUT... Rob only does neck-exchanges on his own models. That means you don't get to keep your original neck. He does this to stop people bolting the old neck onto a pile of rubbish and claiming it is a status. My old status needed a severe re-fret anyway so I wasn't sad to see the old neck go in the bin (I have another fretted status anyway)
