Which bass do you associate Adam Clayton with?

Off the top of my head I'd have said P bass but then I remember seeing them live and he was using a J bass... then memory kicked in and my earliest recollection might have been with a Ric.

These days it appears that it's whatever he can get for free!

Didn't he have a phase of daft shaped looking ones?  Maybe thought it made him more "interesting"

He had the Warwick Reverso but he also had that weird V... which possibly lessened his weirdness.  :)

He also used the Jack Cassidy bass and iirc back in the day the Ibanez Musician as per Sting.

I had a bass that used to belong to AC. For me that was no big deal. It was a real players bass, a 1965 jazz. I sold it on several years after purchasing it, to a player who works with a major act and he confirmed, that indeed it was once belonged to AC.

.... You had Aleister Crowley's bass?.. Was it any good for ( black ) metal?
