la bam Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Some bands have bassists pretty synonymous with a specific bass, but what would you all say U2s Adam Clayton is most recognised with? I really dont know on this one. Quote

warwickhunt Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 (edited) Off the top of my head I'd have said P bass but then I remember seeing them live and he was using a J bass... then memory kicked in and my earliest recollection might have been with a Ric. These days it appears that it's whatever he can get for free! Edited May 13, 2023 by warwickhunt Quote
Old Horse Murphy Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 This one, his old P Bass with Jazz neck 1 Quote
Waddo Soqable Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Didn't he have a phase of daft shaped looking ones? Maybe thought it made him more "interesting" Quote

Maybe thought it made him more "interesting" He had the Warwick Reverso but he also had that weird V... which possibly lessened his weirdness. He also used the Jack Cassidy bass and iirc back in the day the Ibanez Musician as per Sting. 2 Quote

Lozz196 Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 I think this was during Covid and he was following the science…. 1 Quote
leroydiamond Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 I had a bass that used to belong to AC. For me that was no big deal. It was a real players bass, a 1965 jazz. I sold it on several years after purchasing it, to a player who works with a major act and he confirmed, that indeed it was once belonged to AC. Quote
Skybone Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Whichever signature model he's plugging this week. 1 1 Quote

Misdee Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 Yep, early 70s P Bass from the Joshua Tree era. Sounded great, looked the part, suited his style. Quote
Hellzero Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 An F-Bass, he has a few signature models, right? 😈 Quote
Damnthatlazlo Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 P bass with the house of pain sticker is the first that comes to mind. Quote
