NBD- J D Brothers 5 string neck through.

Bought this today for £100. It is very nicely built and set up.

Some previous tarting up to make it look nice it didn't need.

Having been modified it came with Bass line passive pickups.

Incredible sound, power and tone.

I estimate they are the money plus more.

Not sorted yet but I believe a winner all the way.

What do you think?

I like the look of that. Take it back to the 80s and people would have been happy to pay 4 figures plus.

I’ll give you £105 for it! I think it was undersold by quite a margin. Enjoy! It’s worth it for the pickups alone.

He had it at 150 no one bought it he dropped it to 100 and I saw it.

Its been on fb market place for 3 weeks

I used to have one of those neck through, sold for not much, jobbies. I often wondered what benefit there was in paying 15 times as much was once the electrics were changed (I put Villex pickups in it). I do not have the answers.

This used to be mine I sold it couple years ago, owned for 6 years,  It’s a really nice bass I only sold it due to giving up on 5 string basses due to arthritis,

I added the pickups and copper lined the cavity intending to make it active.

That's the proprietary brand of Music Store Köln (like Harley Benton for Thomann), pretty cool stuff indeed. Very much bang for buck. I bet those SD pickups are a big, big upgrade.

I’ve had JEast pre on my previous jazz basses so that’s what I would have fitted
